It was great to be able to attend the Water New Zealand Stormwater 2021 conference a couple of weeks back. It was a huge success with more than 400 registered delegates – the biggest conference to date.
Michael Arthur co-presented a paper on ‘Urban stormwater modelling approaches in NZ and the UK’. The paper looked at how large stormwater modelling studies are delivered and what could be learned from each country.
The presentation sparked some good discussion on the pros & cons of:
- National modelling guidelines / specifications
- A consistent national flood map
