Metis was founded in the UK in 2009 and extended operations to NZ in 2020. The Auckland based team is currently operating from a shared workspace in Newmarket. This means you will have the opportunity to:

About You
We are seeking a full or part time team member that is interested in developing their career in asset management and associated engineering disciplines, with the skillset to thrive in a small diverse and dynamic team. You must have:
- A demonstrable appetite for learning and developing your career further
- Sound technical ability to work within one or more of the areas noted in the role description
- Demonstrated ability in business development and aptitude to nurture long-term client relationships
- Knowledge of Te Mana o te Wai principles and the desire to see them delivered through your work
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and be proactive
- Excellent written and spoken English
The Role
We are seeking a team member with a minimum of five years’ experience in any of the following areas:
- Asset management and / or local government financial planning
- Supporting local government in development / implementation of Asset Management Plans and Long Term Plans
- Business cases and investment decision making
- Planning, design and delivery of water supply, stormwater and / or wastewater infrastructure
You will be responsible for leading project work, quality assurance and leading client relationships. We are actively delivering work in the areas listed below, but aim to expand this where we see demand or if you can bring new specialist skills to the team:
- Project justifications / business cases and long term planning for three waters infrastructure
- Researching and developing new areas of water and flood risk management policy for local government
- In-house support to deliver local government clients for three waters services
- Land development engineering for private and public sector clients
Qualifications Required
You must have a relevant degree, a full driver’s licence and the legal right to work and live in New Zealand.
Salary / Package
You will be employed on a permanent basis with a competitive salary. Full or part time candidates will be considered. Salary level will be agreed based on level of experience and current market remuneration benchmarks. Other benefits include:
- 3% or 4% KiwiSaver Employer Contribution (depending on grade / experience level)
